Eine typisch englische Mittagspause Letzten Freitag haben mich Robert und Richard in einen traditionellen Pub The Sun in Godelming eingeladen. Wir haben ein paar Bier getrunken und verschiedene Dart Spiele gespielt, around the clock und das klassische von 501 herunterspielen. Auch wenn Dart in Deutschland nicht so populär ist, habe ich mit den beiden mithalten können, jedes Spiel war knapp und das 501 konnte ich für mich entscheiden. Sie sagten mir noch ein Paar Dart Phrasen, wenn man eine 1 + 20 +5 wirft, nennt man es anscheinend Chicken and Chips. Wir starteten die Spiele mit einem “Diddle for the Middle” dort hat jeder einen Wurf und welcher naher am Bullseye ist, darf beginnen. Anschließend bestellten wir Pizza, solche Mittagspausen sollten wir auch in Deutschland haben!

Typical English Lunchbreak

Last Friday, Robert and Richard took me out to a traditional English Sports Pub in Godalming (The Sun). We had some beer and played Dart Games (Around the clock and down from 501). Even if darts are not so popular in Germany I still gave the boys a good run for their money and each game was close and I won the 501 down.
I learned some English Dart Phrases like Chicken and Chips if you throw 1 + 20 +5. We started the game with a “Diddle for the Middle” – This is a throw to see who gets one dart closer to the bullseye to determine who throws first in the game. After that we ordered some pizza, we all should have lunchbreaks like this in Germany !
