This year we have the pleasure of having two girls from the town of Freiburg. Arrange in association with Guildford College they are with DCA Recruitment for 3 weeks. Here is their first blog, in German and English

Hallo, wir sind Celine und Tamara! Wir kommen aus Deutschland und machen eine Ausbildung zur Industriekauffrau, derzeit sind wir für ein dreiwöchiges Auslandspraktikum bei DCA Recruitment. Das Programm wird organisiert von Lehrern der “Guildford College Group – International Centre” zusammen mit Lehrern unserer Schule in Freiburg, Deutschland. Unsere Gruppe besteht aus 18 deutschen Auszubildenden der Max Weber Schule. Untergebracht sind wir in verschiedenen Gastfamilien und gehen einmal die Woche zum College, die vier restlichen Tage arbeiten wir hier bei DCA. Durch die Unterkunft und das Unternehmen haben wir die Chance unsere Sprachkenntnisse zu verbessern und bekommen einen Einblick in die Arbeitswelt der englischen Personalvermittlung. Ausserdem können wir durch die gute Lage Guildfords an den Wochenenden schöne Städte wie London, Brighton oder Portsmouth besuchen und neue Kontakte knüpfen. Dies ist unsere Zweite Woche hier bei DCA, bereits in unserer ersten Woche durften wir das Team in Aktion sehen und bei einer Messe unterstützen, indem wir das Unternehmen vorstellten und Flyer an Schüler des Colleges verteilten. Ausserdem bekamen wir viele verschiedene Aufgaben im Büro, um das Unternehmen näher kennenzulernen. Zur Neukundengewinnung bereiteten wir kleine Geschenke vor, die wir in der Zweiten Woche in Guildford - Stadt an mögliche Neukunden verteilten. Allgemein haben uns die ersten Zwei Wochen bei DCA sehr gut gefallen, das Unternehmen hat ein sehr starkes und freundliches Team, welches uns mit offenen Armen empfangen hat. Durch die gute Kommunikation mit den Mitarbeitern konnten wir uns austauschen und viel über die Menschen und die Kultur Englands lernen. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl und freuen uns auf eine weitere Woche mit neuen Aufgaben und tollen Momenten hier bei DCA.

Hello, we are Celine and Tamara! We are from Germany working as trainees for a three-week internship abroad currently at DCA Recruitment. The programme is organised by teachers from the “Guildford College Group - International Centre” in co-operation with teachers from our school in Freiburg, Germany. Our group consists of 18 German apprentices of the Max Weber School. We are living in different host families and go to college once a week, the four remaining days we work here at DCA. We have the chance to improve our language skills and to gain an insight into the business world of Recruitment through the accommodation and the company. In addition, Guildford’s good location allows us to visit beautiful cities such as London, Brighton or Portsmouth on weekends and to get to know new people. This is our second week here at DCA, already in our first week we were able to see the team in action and helped at a student job fair by introducing the company and handing out flyers to college students. Furthermore, to gain insights into how the business operates we experienced many different tasks in the office. To win new customers, we prepared small gifts, which we handed out to potential clients in Guildford City during the second week. We very much enjoyed the first two weeks at DCA, the company has a very friendly team, who welcomed us with open arms. We were able to exchange ideas and learnt a lot about the people and the typical culture of England through the good communication with the staff. We feel very comfortable and look forward to another week with new tasks and great moments here at DCA.
