Nurture Group Teacher (21.5 Hours)

Learning4Life-Gy is seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified teacher to join our team as the Nurture Group Teacher. The successful candidate will lead a small group of learners aged 1419 with autism, anxiety and sensory processing needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching within a calm, structured and low-arousal environment, enabling learners who struggle in mainstream settings to thrive. You will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum, including accredited pathways such as GCSEs and Functional Skills, while embedding literacy, numeracy and preparation for adulthood. We are looking for a reflective practitioner with QTS/QTLS, strong SEND experience, and a commitment to nurturing confidence, independence and aspiration in young people. This position is 21.5 hours per week, £21,645 actual salary, £36,075 FTE.

Nurture Group Teacher - Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the National Curriculum and accredited pathways (GCSEs, Functional Skills, vocational qualifications).
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with autism, anxiety and sensory processing differences.
Create and maintain a calm, predictable and structured low-arousal classroom environment.
Implement Quality First Teaching and the Graduated Approach (AssessPlanDoReview) for SEND learners.
Embed literacy, numeracy and communication skills across the curriculum.
Prepare learners for adulthood, including independence, employability and further education progression.
Monitor progress through effective assessment, target-setting and feedback.
Deploy and guide Teaching Assistants effectively to maximise learner outcomes.
Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.
Contribute to quality assurance, curriculum development and continuous professional improvement.
