We have a new exciting opportunity for an Events Manager to join us here at PERFECTEVENTS!

The Events Manager will lead the logistical delivery of PERFECTEVENTSs event portfolio. They will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of events to a high standard, capable of clear and independent decision making in a high-pressure environment and able to confidently build strong relationships and liaise with the PERFECTEVENTSs Professional Board, Executive Team and wider stakeholders to ensure that event programmes have appropriate representation.

You will have strong industry knowledge with demonstrable experience of working with multiple visitors to deliver complex events. You will have meticulous organisational skills, a sharp attention for detail and the ability to pre-empt and prepare for the frequently changing and challenging hurdles so regularly experienced in the events management environment.

This is a challenging but rewarding and sociable position for a proactive self-starter who is comfortable juggling multiple competing deadlines and priorities. You will be a strong relationship builder, methodical thinker, and calm decision maker. This role requires an element of travel as and when required for events, with the requirement to attend the graduation ceremony on a Saturday and other specific events throughout the calendar.

Marketing Events Executive - What we're looking for

The ideal Marketing Events Executive will have the following:

Essential skills:

Educated to A Level or equivalent
Previous experience of events management delivering a varied programme of events and courses
Previous experience of delivering an annual conference or large scale event
Awareness of the principles of effective project management, risk mitigation, risk management and governance
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to set out and discuss complex issues clearly for a wide audience and to give presentations as required in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at all levels
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to motivate, influence and gain the support of others and to have effective collaborative working relationships
Excellent IT skills, with thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent information management skills and ability to develop and manage systems for recording and storing information and data
Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters, and be able to deliver difficult messages with diplomacy and tact
Able to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements, and adapt to changing situations
Experience of managing an administrative function to enable senior positions/management teams to work effectively
Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage own workload and taking responsibility for achieving results
Knowledge and experience of working with live event technology to deliver events virtually
Knowledge and experience of event technology (booking platforms, abstract management solutions etc)
Ability to manage complexity of multiple stakeholders and priorities
