Lecturer in Animal Management

We are seeking a full-time lecturer in animal management to join a dynamic and committed team teaching a range of animal management courses from Level 1 to Level 6. Are you the special person we need to complement our already outstanding team in the Animal Studies Department?

What we are looking for:

You will have the ability to teach both practical and theoretical aspects of animal management to our Level Two Technical Certificate and Level Three Advanced Technical Extended Diploma students, and be confident in delivering and assessing animal management related theory and skills. Candidates should be innovative and pro-active in their approach to working with learners and have a commitment to further training and development as new initiatives evolve. You will be educated to degree level, and able to deliver high quality teaching and assessment to our learners across this outstanding department. Previous experience working and/or delivering training in kennel and cattery management, pet store design and management, or small animal rehabilitation an advantage.

Duties/responsibilities:

Your job will be to work with Further Education learners from Level 2 to Level 3 and to inspire them to reach their goals and achieve success. This role will involve both classroom and practical based teaching and will include sessions on our Animal Care Unit. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be experienced in motivating young people and adults to achieve the most from their time at College, and sensitive to your learners needs whilst enabling them to express and reach their true potential.
