At Nescot we are recruiting for enthusiastic Learning support assistants to work in our 14-16 department at our easily accessible campus in Epsom, Surrey.

We are seeking learning support assistants who have some experience with working and supporting young people with these types of needs (professionally or personally).

The 14-16 cohort attend Nescot college in place of school. They are taught in smaller groups with a high staff to student ratio, to help them develop skills and grow independence. Many students may not have enjoyed school, so have come to Nescot college to taught in smaller groups at a slower pace.

Learning support assistants communicate directly with lecturers to and other staff and will use a range of support strategies to increase engagement in learning. Learning support assistants support students learning, build their self-confidence, address and manage behavioural issues and encourage re-engagement of learning.

Work patterns available:

Full time= 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Part time= 3-4 full days

Part time hours= 5 days a week 10am-3pm
