Lead Production Operator
Burnley

A small but growing manufacturing company based just off the M65 in Burnley require an individual who will lead our production team while working alongside the production workforce.

For the first 6 months the Lead Production Operator will receive intensive training and guidance on all aspects of production operations and set-ups.

From there you will progress to independently leading the production team.

This is a hands-on role so alongside working in the production facility you will be organising the workload and ensuring that work progresses at the required rate and standard. Our production processes include resistance spot welding, pneumatic forming, manual fastener assembly and small hydraulic and pneumatic press operations.

This role requires a practical aptitude, the ability to problem solve and organise, and have a reasonable level of dexterity.

Lead Production Operator - experience and skills preferred for this role include:

Working in a manufacturing environment
Good numeracy and literacy skills
A practical aptitude
Fork-lift truck trained (certification required to prove any training previous received)
Any experience leading a small team

The role is permanent and full time, working Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm (paid breaks and an unpaid lunchtime taken during these hours).

At the current time there is no ability to offer any alternative days or hours. (Paid hours are 8 hours per day.)

For the first 6 months the rate of pay will be £13.00/hour, increasing to £14.50/hour upon completion of all training.
