What will my role look like?

As Assistant Restaurant General Manager, you are aiding the Restaurant Manager in running a multi-million-pound business, you are to support in of all aspects of the restaurant. You play the main role in supporting your team to be the best, have fun and make money, by motivating, coaching, training and holding them to be accountable to deliver a chicken does not get better than this experience

You are the proud leader of your busy restaurant, and will be supported by an enthusiastic team of around 40-60 colleagues! This isnt a back office job, so prepare to roll your sleeves up and be passionate and relentless in all that you do.

What would my main responsibilities be?

You are the role model of our values and set the tone for the culture in your restaurant
You instil in your business the patterns, practices, and behaviours that reinforce our values and identity
Coach, mentor and motivate your team to achieve above average results
Actively drive profitability and key performance indicators
Recruit new colleagues and ensure they are made to feel welcome and trained to the highest standards
Identify and develop our future restaurant leaders
Complete administration, stock take and banking & finance duties
Have our Guests tell us we are clean, friendly, accurate and never slow
Ensure our famous chicken is cooked and served exactly how the colonel intended
Roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with food preparation and looking after our Guests when your team needs your support
Ensure that our restaurants look presentable and vibrant
Be happy, friendly, smile and have fun

Management / Supervisor experience
Catering / Restaurant / Hospitality or Food manufacturing experience is desirable
Passion for the Guest

Experience working within & leading a team

Providing coaching and support to a diverse team

Strong communication skills at all levels

Emotional Intelligent, self-aware individuals who are always willing to learn.

Whats does the training look like?

We start with the basics, youll be side by side with our team members, learning how to cook our delicious chicken, build our burgers and delight our guests. Each section of our training is blended, including online learning and on the job training (got to get your hands dirty). All our leaders complete this training so that they can develop a full understanding of our business.
Youll then move onto your management training, starting with the Shift Leadership Programme. You will learn how to lead a great experience for our team and our customers, ensuring amazing product, with service that is never slow! Theres continuous development for the right candidate, progressing up the career path to RGM.
