We are currently looking for a valuable new team member who will benefit from a long term commitment to their professional development within our people focused organisation.

We are recruiting an accounts clerk / book keeper to join our growing practice and friendly team. The basic salary range is £24,000 - £30,000 pa, dependent on experience, and offers a flexible mix of office and home based working.

About you

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Involvement in the day-to-day book keeping for a number of individuals and companies. This will include VAT returns, personal and company accounts, as well as tax return preparation. This may be work done collectively as part of the team, or on an individual basis.
Effectively managing your day-today workload, to ensure timely delivery of work to a consistent standard.
Provide excellent customer service to our clients, assisting with a variety of queries via telephone and email.
Strive for quality and excellence in your work

You have the following skills and experience;

Qualified book keeper (AAT), PQ accountant, or QBE
General book keeping, VAT returns and spreadsheet experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Have an eye for detail and accuracy with figures
Good IT skills, particularly EXCEL. Knowledge of XERO and Sage an advantage,

Reporting to the VAT Supervisor, you are able to prioritise your own workload, and work unsupervised, as well as working within a team of experienced clerks.

What we are offering;

Salary : Range £24,000 - £30,000 pa, dependent on experience
Pension : Employer pension contribution 3%
Hours : 37.5hrs per week. Flexible hybrid working possible after training
Holidays : 20 days per annum, plus Bank Holidays
Office : Out of town. Free parking
